The Electronic Textiles Architecture Technology Assessment project goal was to develop an approach for creating an inflatable self-erecting antenna array that is implemented directly in the structural skin of the inflatable structure. The major design activities performed were (1) requirements definition for the antenna and the aerostat fabric, (2) assessment of the materials and vendors, (3) designing of the fabric antenna array, and (4) manufacture of initial prototypes.
